Chuck Johnson has been operating as C.A. Johnson Construction in the Lower Mainland since 1984. Recently, his two sons, Matthew & Alan decided to make it “official” and join their Dad in the family business. It was this decision that prompted a fresh start with a new company name. Our high quality workmanship will remain the same, with our emphasis as always, on customer satisfaction.
Construction Crew
Chuck has been working in the construction industry for over 30 years. His main focus has mostly been Custom Home Renovations however he has also worked as a Site Superintendent, owned a Portable Sawmill and done Commercial Renovations. Chuck has also been a Scenic Carpenter for the local Vancouver Film Industry working on such Feature Films as The Chronicles of Riddick and Scary Movie as well as building sets for the local productions, Stargate and Supernatural. He has also taken the Building Inspectors Course at BCIT. In his “spare time” Chuck enjoys playing the guitar, salmon fishing and renovating his own home.
His son Matthew is a ticketed Journeyman Carpenter. He has recently been working with his Dad doing residential renovations. Previous to that, Matt was with PCL Westcoast Constructors for four years doing Commercial Construction. Matt was with the crew that helped build the new Abbotsford Hospital, the Villa Casino in Burnaby as well as both the Rec Center and Arts Center in Abbotsford. Matt also enjoys salmon fishing as well as 4X4ing.
Alan has been working with his Dad for the past ten years also doing residential renovations. He is now pursuing another facet of the business as an Apprentice Electrician. Alan has a background in Electronics having completed the preliminary schooling to become an Electrician as well as apprenticing for a year as a Plumber. He has worked on most of the projects profiled on our website. Alan is recently married and enjoys spending his free time at home.
Susan rounds out our core team. She makes sure that everything in the office is well planned and organized. She has been working with Chuck for the past 20 years and is the administrative center of the business, taking care of all the paperwork.
